Student Representative Council
North Shore State School ensures that a student voice is heard through the yearly formation of a Student Representative Council. Each class from 4-6 has a student elected representative who attends regular Student Council meetings where the Students generate ideas related to sustainability, wellbeing and inclusiveness throughout the school.
School Leaders
North Shore State School has 10 year 6 school leaders. In the final term of each school year, all Year 5 students engage in a skills based leadership program facilitated by their classroom teachers and school administration. Through a process of self-nomination endorsed by teachers, speeches and interviews 2 school captains and 2 sports house captains for each of the 4 sports house groups are selected. Student voice from years 3-5 are essential in the leadership process as students across these year levels vote for their preferred candidate. After being inducted into their leadership roles, school leaders attend the GRIP Conference to further develop their leadership skills.
