Camps
North Shore State School offers students in year 5 and year 6 an opportunity to attend a camp aligned with the school curriculum and allows students the opportunity to build strong friendships and collaborate with peers. Students are encouraged to attend camp to participate in these learning opportunities and develop independence and social skills. Teachers, members of the community and camp staff work together to provide students with experiences that are educational, challenging and character building in a safe and supported environment.
Attendance to camp is not mandatory, however permission and payment is required for students to attend. Cost of camp varies and payment plans are available.
Excursions
Throughout the year students in various year levels throughout the school will go on excursions to support the contextualised connected curriculum and enhance Junior/Secondary Transitions.
